- Welcome! I am a Rust Belt native who grew up watching a way of life and an economy slowly fall apart around me. Convinced that my father’s pessimism about the industrial economy was wrong, I grew up to become a futurist, an entrepreneur, and a business coach, all fields that deal with creating new kinds of economic activity. Our painful economic decline is also the opening chapter on a new era. Resilience covers economic transition at all levels: forecasts for the shape of the economy to come, the financial meltdown and government action to soften its impact; individuals, firms, and nonprofits creating the new face of capitalism; emerging and declining business models; and pragmatic strategies for financial stability through difficult times.
